Chanouga
Safaris

DAYS 1 - OKAVANGO DELTAUpon arrival in Maun you are met by a
representative of Chanouga Safaris. When all participants have arrived you will be
assisted to the helipad. Fly by helicopter* into the Okavango Delta. Venture out each day
by mokoro (traditional dugout canoes). Your mokoro poler will guide you through the
waterways of this isolated wilderness, returning to base camp each night. Accommodation is
in roomy tents complete with bed-rolls. All meals will be prepared for you by camp staff. (FB)
DAY 2/3- OKAVANGO DELTA
Enjoy your last morning on the water, and lunch at camp before
returning to Maun by fixed wing aircraft. Stay overnight at Rileys Hotel (or
similar). (FB)
DAYS 4/5/6 - MOREMI GAME RESERVE
Leave Maun by road entering the Moremi at South Gate. The winding road
to your camp-site is good for gameviewing and notorious for elephant. Camp for three
nights at our private campsite at Third Bridge or Xakanaxa. A journey by power boat takes
you via the bird rich Xakanaxa lagoon area and offers a glimpse of a completely different
area of the Okavango Delta. (FB) |
